Collins stepped up in a big way last season. He started 29 games and averaged 10.1 points and 4.5 rebounds. He's perhaps the team’s most versatile player, Damon finished second in assists with 62 and in steals with 34. Whether its is locking down the opponent’s top offensive player, scoring the basketball or rebounding, Damon has shown the capacity to be effective. Collins scored a career-high 25 points in win over NC Central that snapped their long home winning streak. Collins is a third team All-MEAC preseason pick.

Collins played his prep ball at Prime Prep, one of the top programs in the country. Collins is a health management major, born on January 25^th, 1995 to Marie Cody and Damon Collins, Sr. and has two brothers, James Cody and Reggie Edwards.
