ORLANDO, Fla. (March 14, 2018) – Coach Larry Strickland and the Howard University Women's Tennis team picked up back-to-back victories for the first time this season after blanking Rochester (UR), 7-0, at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.
 
HU rolled through singles competition, winning all six matches. Freshman Aria Ragas won her match against Rochester's Bianca Dyer in three sets (6-4, 5-7, 10-6) while the other Bison claimed victories in straight sets.
 
In doubles competition, junior Nicole Hutchison and freshman Nathalie Finch served as the squad's No. 1 doubles team where they defeated UR's Camila Garcia and Sravya Gudipudi, 6-4.
 
Junior Kindha Nasef and freshman Yassmine Khiri also won their doubles match, knocking off the Yellow Jackets' Alex Wolkoff and Abbey Reinhart, 6-3.
 
Rochester No. 3 squad of Dyer and Yaya Wang downed Ragas and junior Christina Joynes, 6-2.
 
Friday (March 16), the Bison takes on Chicago State in another neutral site match. First-serve is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
