LYNCHBURG, Va. (February 3, 2018) – In their final competition before the conference championships, Coach
David Oliver and the Howard University Men's & Women's Track & Field teams participated in the fourth annual Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, hosted by Liberty University.
Sophomore
Uchechi Onuoha continues to excel in the women's 60-meter hurdles, resetting her own personal mark while qualifying for the IC4A/ECAC Championships. The Pennsylvania native posted an 8:61 time.
On the men's side, freshman
Malik Kosanovich finished ninth in the 5000-meter with a 15:38.64 time. His time in the event broke an eight-year mark set by Aaron Harrison in 2010.
Senior Mohamed Bah took fifth in the 800-meter race, finishing with a 1:54.68 mark.
In relay competition, Bah, junior
Korey Lombard, and freshmen
Mekhi Closson and
Jordan Holder claimed third in the men's 4x400 (3:20.84).
Bah and Closson joined junior
Tariq Fullerton and newcomer
Anthony Gordon in the distance medley where they also earned third.
On Feb. 15-17, Howard returns to Landover, Md., for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day event will take place at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex.
