WASHINGTON (February 24, 2018) – Coach
Ron Davis and the Howard University Women's Bowling team went 3-1 at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division Meet No. 3, held at Potomac Lanes in D.C.
Howard opened traditional competition with Morgan State where they defeated the Bears, 887-863.
Then, the Bison squared off against Maryland Eastern Shore with the Hawks edging out HU, 868-839.
HU bounced back with victories over Delaware State, 915-847, and Coppin State, 793-774.
Freshman
Carolyn Williams led the way, finishing second overall after averaging a 189.75. Sophomore
Tea Lewis and senior
Sydney Reece placed 10th and 11th, respectively, while junior
Shykeia Spinks took 13th.
Before Sunday's five baker matches, HU will recognize seniors Reece and
Kristyn Mitchell for their hard work and dedication on and off the lanes. The Senior Day ceremony begins 8 a.m. and competition starts 8:45 a.m.
