WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (February 9, 2018) – Howard University Men's Tennis team traveled to Williamsburg, Va. where they squared off against No. 25 South Carolina in a neutral site match. HU battled, but the Gamecocks blanked Howard, 7-0.
 
In doubles competition, junior Karim Shokeir and freshman Roger Lyn served as the squad's No. 1 team where they were defeated, 6-3.
 
In singles play, Lyn was placed in the No. 2 spot to face South Carolina's Yancy Dennis. The Jamaica native fought, but Dennis won in straight sets (6-4, 6-3).
 
Next Saturday (Feb. 17) Howard returns to the court to meet Mount St. Mary's. Saturday's match is slated for noon.
