LANDOVER, Md. (January 20, 2018) – Howard University Men's & Women's Track & Field teams took part in the 2018 Terrapin Invitational, hosted by Maryland, where the men finished 11
th while the women placed sixth overall.
Juniors
Korey Lombard and
Uchechi Onuoha led the Bison in Saturday's meet.
On the men's side, Lombard won the 300-meter race with 36.01 time. Senior
Mohamed Bah finished second in the men's 800-meter race (1:58.35).
For the women, Onuoha placed second in the 300-meter (41.69) and 60 hurdle (8.72). Onuoha's time in the hurdle earned her a spot in the IC4A/ECAC Championships, which will be held in the spring.
Freshman
Destiny Stanford took fourth in the mile (5:13.52) while senior
Dominique Cleggett earned fourth in the long jump (5.40m).
On Jan. 28, HU resumes its indoor season at the JDL College Dual Meet Madness in Winston-Salem, N.C.
