NORFOLK, Va. (DECEMBER 5, 2017) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University swept all three awards. Sophomore

Zion Cousins received recognition for their performances throughout the week. The announcement came Tuesday.
Williams took home MEAC Player of the Week after averaging 21.5 points per game (PPG) and 7.0 rebounds per game (RPG). The Virginia native registered a game-high 23 points and six rebounds in the win over Central Penn, followed by a 20-point performance against the University of Pennsylvania. Overall, Williams has produced four 20-point games this season.
Cole received his second MEAC Rookie of the Week honors by posting 22.0 PPG and 6.5 assists per game (APG). In the victory over Central Penn, he fell an assist shy of a double-double, finishing with 20 points and a career-high nine dimes. Last night (Dec. 4), the New Jersey product had a team-high 24 points, including three trey balls versus Penn.
Cousins was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, manufacturing 17 rebounds, 13 points, and five blocks against Central Penn and Penn. Defensively, the Maryland native generated four blocks in the home win over Central Penn. Monday (Dec. 4), he recorded his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 boards versus Penn.
Thursday (Dec. 7), Howard faces crosstown foe Georgetown inside the Capital One Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on FS1.
