NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (November 5, 2017) – After dropping the first eight matches, Coach

Sunday, the field was placed into a three-round bracket using the overall total pin fall standings. Each playoff round featured a best four-of-seven Baker game match.

Next, Howard met conference rival Morgan State University (MSU). After splitting the first two games (189-224, 187-175), the Lady Bears took the upper hand by winning game three, 179-186. HU responded and won games four and five (162-152, 182-154). MSU would force a deciding game with a 123-143 victory in game six and win the match in seven, 181-196.
HU squared off against Bethune-Cookman (B-CU) in its final match of the tourney. Both squads split the first two matches (170-142, 142-153), but the Bison would be too much as they won the final three games (178-157, 173-136, 170-146).
Howard's season continues at the first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division Meet (Nov. 11-12), hosted by Coppin State University in Baltimore.
