BALTIMORE (October 4, 2017) – Howard Women's Volleyball team extended its win streak to three after pickup a four-set road victory over the Morgan State (MSU) Lady Bears (25-9, 25-19, 21-25, 25-15).
 
Senior Khaila Donaldson, junior Tamia Dockery and freshman Jurnee Tipton each registered a double-double in the victory. Donaldson, reigning MEAC Player of the Week, recorded a match-high 13 kills and 12 digs while Dockery provided 36 assists and 16 digs, both match-bests. Tipton added 14 digs and 11 kills in the win.
 
Howard dominated set one, producing a .444 hitting percentage while the Lady Bears registered nine errors, 25-9.
 
Set two witnessed the Bison manufacture 13 kills, compared to Morgan State's seven.
 
In the third set, MSU fought back and posted a .250 hitting percentage; thus, avoiding a sweep, 21-25.
 
HU regained their momentum in set four, recording a .414 hitting percentage and won the set, 25-15.
 
For MSU (2-14, 1-2 MEAC), Roi Wallace posted a double-double with 33 assists and 16 digs. Mykaela Ross added a team-high 10 kills in a losing effort.
 
Sunday, HU (5-13, 2-1 MEAC) returns to Baltimore where the Coppin State Eagles await. Match time is set for noon.
